# Managing contacts

Adding contacts to the Sign Portal allows you to send signing orders without having to enter each recipient's personal details manually. You can create contacts one by one or import them in batches. You can also share your contacts with other users and access other users' contacts, if they share them with you.

# Adding a new contact

  1. Open the menu on the top right corner of the screen and select Contacts.
  2. Select the lightning icon (⚡), and then, New contact.
  3. Enter the contact's information and select Save. Remember that phone numbers must include a country code.

# Deleting a contact

To delete a contact, select it on your contact list, open the action menu (on the ⚡ icon), and select Delete.

# Adding several contacts at once

If you want to add several contacts at once, you can import them as a .csv file.

  1. Open the menu on the top right corner of the screen and select Contacts.
  2. In the left-hand menu, select Import contacts.
  3. Select Download template to download the contact list template.
  4. Fill in the template with the personal details of all the contacts you want to import. Read the notes at the top of the template to learn more about how to fill in each field.
  5. Save the template as a comma-delimited .csv file.
  6. Drag and drop the file in your browser window, or select Browse files and find the file in your system to upload it.
  7. In the left-hand menu, select Contacts to see all your contacts, including the ones you just imported.

# Creating contact lists

If you have a lot of contacts, it can be helpful to group them in lists in order to find and share them more easily. Creating contact lists also allows you to add several contacts at once to a signing order.

  1. Open the menu on the top right corner of the screen and select Contacts.
  2. Check the boxes for the contacts you want to add to the list, select the ⚡ icon, and then, Create list.
  3. Enter a name for your list.
  4. If you want to share your list with another user of the portal, enter their name under Share this list.
  5. Select Submit.

Contact lists can be found in the left-hand menu, under Lists.

# Sharing contacts

You can share contacts individually or in bulk, as a contact list. If someone has shared individual contacts with you, you will be able to see them under Shared with me. Shared lists will appear under Lists.

To share individual contacts:

  1. Open the menu on the top right corner of the screen and select Contacts.
  2. Select the checkbox of the contact you want to share.
  3. Select the ⚡ icon, and then, Share.
  4. Enter the names of the people you want to share this contact with.
  5. Select Grant access.

To share a contact list:

  1. Open the menu on the top right corner of the screen and select Contacts.
  2. In the left-hand menu, select Lists and then the name of the list you want to share.
  3. Select the ⚡ icon, and then, Share list.
  4. Enter the names of the people you want to share this list with.
  5. Select Grant access.
