Personalausweis

The German national identity card is equipped with an RFID chip, making it available for online use. This functionality is called Neue Personalausweis (nPA).

The identity card has an electronic identification function that allows cardholders to verify their identity online when using e-government or commercial services. The end-user's personal data is protected and sent only with their consent.

Signicat is a certified identity service provider accredited to read and share the information on the German identity card through the electronic identity function of Neue Personalausweis.
