# Why specify authentication method?
How good of a match we can make between the logged in user and the specified recipient depends on how much information we're provided. The more information you provide us with, the more you can trust that only the correct person is able to open the file(s).
# How do you match recipient and logged in user?
The least amount of information you can give us about the recipient is first and last name. If this is all you provide us with, we will provide the available identification methods, and compare the names you sent us with the name of the logged in user. The more information you provide us with, the more information can be matched.
# How do I specify authentication?
Each recipient has a property called "authentication", where you can add the information you got on the recipient. This is an array of authentications, so if you want to you can add more than one. Currently we only support the use of the first authentication object provided, but this will change in the future.
