Integration guide
Integration with ID Austria in the Signicat eID and Wallet Hub consists of the following steps:
- Registering your company with ID Austria.
- Signing up for the Signicat Dashboard and configuring ID Austria.
- Implementing a connection with an authentication protocol.
To learn how to complete each step, see the corresponding sections below.
Get started
Integration involves two separate onboarding processes, one with ID Austria and one with Signicat. To integrate successfully, follow the steps outlines below.
1. Register with ID Austria
First, you need to register your company as a provider in Austria and go through an accreditation process. This involves communication and agreements between your company and ID Austria.
Since the registration process involves sharing information and documents between your company and ID Austria, Signicat's role is limited to providing guidance and support at this stage. You can learn more about how to proceed with this step in the guide below:
2. Sign up and configure ID Austria
After you have completed the registration with ID Austria, you are ready to sign up to the Signicat Dashboard and configure your account.
Here is where you activate ID Austria and define the services to match your use case with ID Austria.
3. Implement a connection with an authentication protocol
After you have activated ID Austria, you need to implement a connection with an authentication protocol. This is when you create the logic to build authentication requests and handle user routing in your application.
Test it out
Once you have activated ID Austria, you can already test an authentication to understand how the user journey works. ID Austria provides test users for you to understand how multiple authentication use cases work.
