Released Authenticator App 5.3
We have released version 5.3 of the Authenticator App.
Encap SCA SDK upgrade
We have upgraded the app to version 3.22 of the Encap SCA SDK. With this version, key exchange between the app and the server uses the X25519 algorithm.
To learn more about the changes in SDK 3.22, see the MobileID SDK release notes.
From version 5.3, the Authenticator App requires an E2EE key that uses the X25519 algorithm. Existing E2EE keys that use the legacy SECT233K1 algorithm do not work with this version.
If your MobileID account only has SECT233K1 keys, add a new key with the X25519 algorithm. To learn how to do this, see the Add a new E2E key section in our End-to-end encryption feature documentation.
Improved support for larger text sizes (iOS only)
We have improved the app's layout for larger text sizes. When the end-user increases the text size in the device settings, all screens stay readable and usable.
Location permission only when needed (Android only)
The app now only asks the end-user for location permission when the Location or SSID risk attributes are enabled in your app configuration.
Improvements and bug fixes
In this update, we have:
- Updated the third-party SDKs used for identity verification and app protection to their latest versions.
- Made general improvements and bug fixes, enhancing the app's overall stability, security and maintainability.
