Excluded devices

The excluded devices functionality for the risk indicators feature allows you to exclude specific devices from MobileID risk evaluations.

How it works

To do this, you need to add the specific device hash to the excluded devices list (allowlist). It ensures that the specific device is excluded from MobileID risk evaluations.

This is particularly useful for preventing your test devices from being flagged as suspicious.

What does this mean?

For example, test devices are often used by a high number of users that legitimately log in from the same physical device.

This could cause the device hash risk indicator to flag the device as suspicious, even though it is not a fraudulent device. The excluded devices functionality allows you to prevent this.

Prerequisites

The risk indicator feature is an add-on for MobileID. This means that you need to Get access before you can use it.

How to use it

You can manage which device hashes are on the excluded devices list directly from the Signicat Dashboard.

To learn more about the actions that you can take, see the sections below:

Add a device hash

To add a device hash to the excluded list:

  1. Go to Signicat Dashboard > Products > MobileID > Risk indicators > Excluded devices.
  2. Click the + Add new button in the top right corner.
  3. In the Add new device hash dialogue, enter the following details:
    • Device hash: The unique device hash you want to exclude.
    • Comment: (Optional) A description or reason for excluding the device.
  4. Click the Add button.

The device hash appears in the list of excluded devices.

Remove a device hash

To remove a device hash from the excluded list:

  1. Go to Signicat Dashboard > Products > MobileID > Risk indicators > Excluded devices.
  2. Locate the device hash that you want to remove, then click the Remove button next to it.

The device hash is now removed and no longer appears in the list.

API integration

You can also integrate with the excluded devices functionality programmatically, using our REST APIs instead of the Signicat Dashboard.

To learn more, see the MobileID device hash management resource in our ReuseID API.

Get access

The risk indicator feature is an add-on for MobileID. This means that you need to get access before you can use it, which you can do by contacting our sales team.

To do this, click the Get access button on the respective risk indicator page in the Signicat Dashboard.
