Account types

We recommend that you create a sandbox account to test our services before going live. Sandbox and production accounts must be set up separately.

2. Set up wallets in the Signicat Dashboard

Before you can integrate identity wallets, you need to activate the EUDI Wallet in the Signicat Dashboard.

To activate and configure the EUDI Wallet:

  1. In the Signicat dashboard, go to Products > eID and Wallet Hub > eIDs.
  2. Click + Add new in the top right.
  3. Choose EUDI Wallet from the list.
  4. In the Display Name field, enter a friendly name for the wallet.
    Display name configuration

The name you enter here determines how the wallet appears to your end-users on the identity provider (IdP) selection screen, the page where your end-users can choose between multiple eIDs. Once the various wallets will become available, you will be able to use the same name a member state uses for their EUDI Wallet.

  5. Click Add to complete the setup and activate the EUDI Wallet.
  6. Verify that the EUDI Wallet appears on your eIDs page with an Active status.

3. Meet operational requirements

Country-specific requirements

To integrate with EUDI Wallet, you need to adhere to regulatory and operational requirements of the EU member state where you are established. We recommend you consult local regulations and comply with your country-specific requirements.

To become a recognised relying party in the EU Digital Identity Wallet ecosystem, you must adhere to the following regulatory and operational guidelines:

Next steps

After you have activated the identity wallets, we recommend you test an authentication flow from the Signicat Dashboard. This helps you verify that the wallets, users and flows are ready before you start building the application integration.
